Global Mobility and Benefits Manager
Responsibilities
- Partner with regional and international stakeholders to manage employment eligibility and immigration administration for the North American workforce.
- Work closely with mobility and human resources teams to maintain accurate records, agreements, and compliance-related activity tied to employee movement programs.
- Build, track, and oversee budgets connected to immigration and global mobility operations within the region.
- Lead the interactive accommodation process across North America, ensuring timely coordination, documentation, and alignment with applicable requirements.
- Review changes in federal, state, and local regulations affecting health, welfare, retirement, leave, and wellness programs, and advise the organization on necessary actions.
- Direct compliance reviews, regulatory inquiries, and audit responses, coordinating with internal teams and external parties to resolve issues and implement corrective measures.
- Maintain plan documents, internal procedures, and employee-facing communications so they remain accurate, current, and aligned with legal and plan requirements.
- Perform ongoing assessments of benefit plans, leave administration, and vendor practices to identify risk, improve controls, and support effective operations.
- Oversee testing, eligibility validation, dependent verification, and broader monitoring activities for health and welfare plans.
- Design and deliver compliance education for HR teams, people managers, and plan administrators to strengthen understanding and consistent execution.
Requirements
- Experience managing employment-based immigration processes and work authorization compliance.
- Solid understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and related regulatory obligations.
- Proven ability to support compliance audits, investigate findings, and drive corrective action plans.
- Strong capability in compliance reporting and turning operational data into clear executive-level insights.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including tools used for reporting, analysis, and presentations.
- Effective presentation and communication skills with the ability to explain complex requirements to varied audiences.
- Familiarity with ADA-related processes, background checks, privacy considerations, and broader workforce compliance practices.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A master's degree may be preferred. Additionally, candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in global mobility, immigration compliance, or a similar field.
