Job Summary

TRM Labs provides AI-powered intelligence solutions to help public and private sector agencies investigate and disrupt crime. The Global Investigations team focuses on financial sextortion and youth predation, working closely with NCMEC, IC3, and international partners.

Responsibilities

• Validate high-priority victim and infrastructure leads
• Use open-source intelligence (OSINT) to identify actors, aliases, personas, infrastructure, and behavioral patterns
• Follow the money across payment rails used by these networks
• Create targeting packages for arrests, platform takedowns, and dismantling groups
• Lead OSINT-driven investigations into sextortion actors
• Investigate payment methods commonly used in these cases, including payment apps, gift cards, and crypto-enabled flows
• Pivot on selectors to expand reports into broader networks
• Produce actionable targeting packages connecting OSINT findings, financial evidence, and victim reporting
• Support outreach to victims and help drive victim safety

Requirements

• Law-enforcement experience, including sworn officers, investigators, or task-force officers
• Experience using open-source intelligence to identify online actors, aliases, accounts, infrastructure, communication patterns, linked personas, and operational networks
• Experience investigating payment methods commonly used in these cases, including payment apps, gift cards, and crypto-enabled flows
• Understanding of the sensitivity and urgency of sextortion cases
• Working knowledge of preservation requests, subpoenas, and 2703(d) orders
• Experience producing investigative packages that support legal, compliance, platform escalation, asset preservation, or enforcement workflows
• Creative tactical thinking and a bias to action
• AI fluency in your workflow to accelerate and reimagine your craft

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of investigative experience across OSINT, cybercrime, crypto investigations, asset recovery, law enforcement, trust and safety, blockchain analytics, or equivalent
• US citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
