Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and management of employee relations workflows to ensure a consistent, scalable framework that reinforces our high-performance culture across different regions.
- Manage the end-to-end process for investigations and performance cases, providing specialized support to People Business Partners (PBPs) to ensure consistent outcomes.
- Maintain a deep understanding of labor laws in our expanding key operating regions, including UK grievance/disciplinary procedures, EMEA Works Councils, and California-specific regulations.
- Aid in the company’s growth into new markets by applying ER and labor law expertise to localized needs.
- Utilize ER data to identify trends and derive insights, proactively seeing around corners to address potential issues before they escalate.
- Collaborate with the L&D team to deliver training to managers on ER best practices, managing performance concerns, and local compliance requirements.
Attributes for a Successful Candidate
- Proven experience managing employee relations on a global scale, with a strong grasp of international labor laws.
- Strong experience conducting investigations with a high degree of empathy, objectivity, and discretion.
- Familiarity with US, EMEA, and APAC labor law, including UK-specific grievance/disciplinary procedures and experience navigating consultation processes (e.g., Works Councils in EMEA).
- Ability to navigate complex, ambiguous situations by balancing legal risks with cultural impact, consistently making objective decisions that uphold our high-performance standards.
- Ability to translate complex legal requirements into actionable advice, and comfortable delivering difficult news or coaching senior leaders through sensitive issues.
- Experience working within a fast-growing SaaS or tech company.
