Global Controller

About the role

Hiring a Global Controller to build and lead a standalone controllership organization for an established business with hundreds of millions in annual revenue and approximately 1,000 employees. The finance infrastructure, systems, and processes are being built for its next chapter as an independent company.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead an approximately 17-person global organization, including Tax and Treasury
• Own global close, consolidation, financial reporting, statutory reporting, and financial operations
• Establish accounting policies and controls across US GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory requirements
• Lead the SAP S/4HANA implementation
• Manage the transition from the former parent company’s shared services
• Lead the company through its first standalone audit
• Partner with the Board, Audit Committee, auditors, and investor stakeholders

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive accounting and controllership leadership
• CPA or international equivalent
• US GAAP and IFRS experience
• Global, multi-entity, and multi-jurisdictional experience
• Experience building a controllership function from the ground up, standing up a carve-out, or leading a significant finance transformation
• SAP S/4HANA implementation experience
• Manufacturing experience is preferred, including inventory, cost accounting, and operational controls

Pay

$160,000–$190,000 base + 20% annual bonus
