Global Category Manager- Independent Power Producer Projects

We are seeking a Global Category Manager – Independent Power Producer Projects to join a leading Energy & Utilities organization. This remote, U.S.-based role provides independent commercial oversight for project opportunities, focusing on supply chain strategy and commercial structure development. The manager will partner with internal stakeholders, project teams, and suppliers to shape business cases, align with customer needs, and support successful project execution.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent commercial oversight to projects.
• Understand customer needs in project business opportunities.
• Lead supply chain strategy development for project opportunities.
• Support the project team in formulating business cases for opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
• Develop commercial requirements for customer proposals.
• Ensure commercial structures are in place for project execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, and vendor management.
• Experience in power generation and relevant capital equipment.
• Proven leadership skills within procurement contexts.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Tech‑savvy with the ability to grasp diverse product applications.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay

$110,000 – $130,000 annually
