Consultant, Global Business Services (GBS) Our Global Business Services (GBS) team serves as a trusted advisor to chief financial officers, chief accounting officers, and other executive stakeholders leading captive and outsourced operations. We help clients modernize finance, human resources, technology, procurement, and other enterprise functions through operating model design, governance, process transformation, and technology-enabled solutions. This work helps organizations improve financial and operational performance, manage risk, and strengthen the business value delivered by GBS organizations. Recruiting for this role ends on 12/31/2026. Work you'll do As a Consultant, Global Business Services (GBS) on the Global Business Services team, you will be responsible for supporting strategic transformation initiatives that improve operating model effectiveness, service delivery, and functional performance. Support client engagements focused on global business services, shared services, outsourcing, and enterprise operating model transformationPerform analysis related to current-state operations, governance structures, service delivery models, and functional processes across finance and other enterprise functionsDevelop client deliverables, including meeting materials, workplans, status reports, business cases, and presentations for workshops and executive discussionsSupport the evaluation and implementation of technology-enabled solutions, including workflow, automation, analytics, and artificial intelligence-enabled capabilitiesContribute to project management, stakeholder coordination, change adoption activities, and proposal development for new client opportunities A successful candidate would possess these skills: Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a teamEffective written and verbal communication skillsMeticulous attention to detail and quality of work productAbility to build and sustain professional relationshipsAbility to lead projects or workstreamsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentStrong interpersonal skills and professional demeanorAbility to meet deadlinesAbility to provide clear guidance to others The team Our Global Business Services offering focuses on transforming corporate functions by centralizing and optimizing service delivery. The team helps clients design and implement operating models, governance structures, processes, controls, and policies that support resilient, agile, and cost-effective outcomes. We work across finance transformation and adjacent enterprise functions to help organizations improve performance and enable long-term growth. Qualifications Required: 2+ years of consulting and/or industry experience in global business services, shared services, outsourcing, finance transformation, or business operationsBachelor's degree from an accredited university in business, finance, accounting, engineering, or information systemsExperience supporting operating model design, governance, process improvement, or business transformation initiativesExperience creating client deliverables in Microsoft PowerPoint and performing analysis in Microsoft ExcelExperience with one or more of the following: Tableau, Power BI, ServiceNow, Salesforce, HighRadius, BlackLine, Basware, workflow tools, automation tools, or artificial intelligence-enabled solutionsAbility to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Preferred: Experience with shared services, outsourcing, or captive operating modelsExperience supporting finance, procurement, human resources, technology, or other enterprise service delivery functionsExperience with Lean, Six Sigma, process mining, or continuous improvement methodsExperience supporting change management activities, including communications, training, or stakeholder engagementExperience developing governance structures, service delivery models, key performance indicators, or service-level agreementsMaster of Business Administration, Master of Science, or certification in project management, Lean Six Sigma, or Prosci The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,600 to $188,400. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
