About the role
The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a crucial role in delivering accurate, timely Commercial Operations reporting and analytics to support data-driven decision-making across Sales and Commercial Operations.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver monthly Commercial Operations reports with a high level of accuracy and consistency to support leadership visibility into sales performance and commercial outcomes.
- Design, build, and maintain Tableau dashboards for sales, behavior, and performance metrics, including pipeline health, sales activity, and KPI performance.
- Use SQL to analyze, validate, and transform data for reporting needs, ensuring data integrity, metric consistency, and high-quality outputs.
- Perform ad hoc data analysis and visualization requests while managing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environment.
- Partner with Sales and Commercial Operations stakeholders to intake analytical requirements, clarify business questions, and prioritize reporting initiatives.
- Define, document, and maintain standardized Commercial Operations KPIs and metric definitions to ensure consistency across reporting.
- Translate complex datasets into compelling visual narratives and executive-ready insights that influence decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and enhance recurring reports and dashboards to improve scalability and efficiency.
- Support data quality monitoring and validation efforts, proactively identifying and resolving data discrepancies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include data analytics, information systems, business, mathematics, or related disciplines.
- 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or commercial analytics roles.
- Strong experience with Tableau dashboard development, including designing intuitive, stakeholder-friendly visualizations.
- Experience supporting Sales, Commercial, or Revenue-focused organizations.
- Solid working knowledge of SQL for querying, validating, and transforming large datasets.
- Experience working with sales and Salesforce data preferred.
- Proven ability to deliver recurring, deadline-driven reporting with a strong focus on accuracy and reliability.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- Results-oriented with strong communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to explain insights to non-technical audiences.
- Strong data storytelling skills, with experience presenting insights to managers or senior leaders.
- Proven experience with KPI frameworks, performance measurement, or sales effectiveness analytics.
