Global Asset Protection Lead

About the Role

This role is focused on advancing Weatherford’s Global Asset Protection Program (APP). The position is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a Global Physical Security Standard, supported by a scalable assessment methodology to protect Weatherford’s people, assets, and operations. The individual will ensure programs maximize asset protection and minimize loss under normal and emergency conditions, collaborating with security vendors, facilities, and crisis response stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support Global Security leadership in advancing Weatherford’s Global Asset Protection Program (APP), focusing on policy design, process development, implementation, and program management across the global facility portfolio.
• Develop and refine organization-wide Global Asset Protection Program (APP) policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with international safety standards and industry best practices, with a focus on Site Security Vulnerability Assessment (SSVA), Access Control, Technical Security, and Asset Protection Guidance.
• Perform thorough Security Risk Assessments (SRAs) of all Weatherford locations, identifying improvements to physical security systems, operational coverage, and security culture, and providing cost-effective solutions.
• Deliver and maintain all Global Asset Protection Program (APP) projects and systems promptly and to a high standard, collaborating with facilities leaders, Procurement Specialists, and authorized vendors.
• Oversee adherence to local and national regulations governing physical security and technical security systems, maintaining compliance across all security operations.
• Manage physical security projects, including strategy design, milestone mapping, goal definition, resource allocation, Statement of Work (SOW), operational guidelines, deliverables, and risk management.
• Manage and audit the utilization of 3rd Party Security Providers (3PSP), including the security element of Weatherford Invitation to Tenders (ITTs) in collaboration with Supply Chain, Compliance, Legal, and other management disciplines.
• Lead the development of assessment tools based on the APP methodology and support Physical Security Plans (PSP) that promote training and strengthen the organization’s physical security culture.
• Focus on ISO 27001 compliance, particularly controls providing physical protection for intellectual property.

Qualifications

• Hold a Physical Security Protection (PSP) certification and at least one of the following credentials (or equivalent): CPP, PMP, or CSMP.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial security roles.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office suite skills.
• Familiarity with ASIS Protection of Assets (POA) standards and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles.
• Relevant employment history in military, law enforcement, government intelligence, corporate security, or a dedicated Physical Security role.
• Broad knowledge of Security Risk Management, including Physical Security, Personnel Security, Security Investigations, Crisis Management (preferred), and Information Security (preferred).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a security-related discipline.
