Global AML Operations - Data Engineer

This role focuses on designing, developing, implementing, and supporting data and reporting solutions for Anti-Money Laundering (AML), working closely with business partners, product owners, and technology teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient data capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver data solutions, including performing code design and delivery tasks for integrating, cleaning, transforming, and controlling data in operational and analytical systems.
• Work across development teams to contribute to story refinement and delivery of data requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Leverage architecture components to build solutions that integrate, clean, transform, and control data per acceptance criteria.
• Build processes supporting data transformation, structures, metadata, data quality controls, dependency, and workload management.
• Define and build data pipelines and complex datasets to enable data-informed decision-making, identifying and raising risks at all stages of the data engineering process.
• Develop and execute test plans, analyze test reports, identify issues, and triage underlying causes.
• Drive complex IT projects to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to team processes.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain data pipelines, reporting solutions, and data products supporting AML processes.
• Build and enhance data integrations, workflows, and automation solutions to improve efficiency and data quality.
• Develop scalable and reusable data components that support multiple applications and use cases.
• Support day-to-day operations of AML data platforms, including issue resolution, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Analyze data requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Perform data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Participate in code reviews and testing activities to ensure solution quality and adherence to development standards.
• Contribute to platform resiliency, performance tuning, and disaster recovery testing activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support materials.
• Support Agile delivery processes and identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, and platform efficiency.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting data solutions in a complex enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining data pipelines, reporting solutions, and workflow automation.
• Strong experience with SQL and large-scale data processing.
• Experience supporting production environments, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Ability to analyze complex data problems and develop practical, scalable solutions.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with technical and business partners.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, and control processes.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
