Global Account Manager- Oil and Gas
Position Summary
The Lead Global Account Partner champions the execution of strategic account initiatives across Swagelok’s most valued global clients. Acting as a key partner and trusted advisor, the Lead Global Account Partner translates high-level strategies into actionable plans, drives cross-regional alignment, and ensures delivery of superior client experiences. This role mentors account teams, manages complex client relationships, and directly impacts the organization’s domestic and international growth and reputation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the principal contact for assigned global accounts, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and the client’s evolving strategies.
- Develop and execute detailed, enterprise-level account plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders and account teams.
- Nurture multi-level client relationships, including with executives, to create lasting partnerships and identify opportunities for joint growth.
- Monitor and interpret customer KPIs, business trends, and investment priorities, proactively adjusting account strategies as needed.
- Brief company leadership on account status, opportunities, risks, and recommend strategic actions to propel account growth.
- Drive the implementation of global account strategies, ensuring seamless integration between regional and global objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams—including Sales & Service Centers (SSCs), engineering, and product management—to deliver innovative solutions and meet client expectations.
- Organize and facilitate key executive engagements and strategic account meetings, aligning on shared priorities and outcomes.
- Identify and develop high-value business opportunities within global accounts to accelerate Swagelok’s market presence and client impact.
- Lead the preparation of compelling business cases and proposals, aligning with client imperatives and Swagelok’s innovation strategy.
- Track market developments and emerging client needs, ensuring timely pursuit of new business within existing accounts.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, best practice sharing, and open communication across teams and regions.
- Mentor and coach Account Managers and Associate Account Managers, contributing to their professional development and strengthening overall team capability.
- Provide regular account reporting and insights to senior management, supporting business reviews and continuous improvement projects.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- Required:
- Degree: Bachelors in business or engineering
- Experience: 10 or more years general business experience, including 3-5 years working with large, complex, or important accounts
- Experience working with customers in the oil and gas industry
