• Understand and able to read and analyze construction blue prints (plans, specification).
• Performing accurate quantity take offs using plans and specifications, or conceptual information.
• Review, interpret and accurately estimate the scope of assigned work as described in the project documents.
• Utilizing and managing in-house historical cost data to improve estimate accuracy.
• Applying costs and rates, as provided by Director of Estimating.
• Requesting, organizing and negotiating vendors quotations to ensure the quotes meet contract documents.
• Developing and nurturing subcontractor/vendor and client relationships.
• Evaluating changes in scope per updates bid documents.
• Assisting Project Managers in providing change order estimates.
• Working and collaborating with Team Members.
• Participating in Value engineering reviews.
• Participating in negotiating construction cost estimates with other parties.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, project managers, contractors, and others as required to establish accurate estimates from the planning stage through the project bid-out stage.
• Develop and nurture subcontractor/vendor and client relationships.
• Evaluate changes in scope per updates bid documents.
• Assist PM in providing change order estimates.
• Collaborate with Team Members.
• Participate in Value engineering reviews.
• Negotiate construction cost estimates with other parties.
