Glasswash technician

In this role, you will report to the Territory Area Manager and work closely with Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

About the role

• Pick up and wash dirty glassware
• Autoclave glassware and tubing
• Restock all clean glassware
• Assemble tubing
• Disassemble bioreactors
• Dispose of cell waste and media
• Check and inspect eyewash stations once a week
• Maintain metrics of washed, autoclaved, repurposed material, and MBP waste items
• Manage inventory of gas cylinders and dewars, place orders, and connect and disconnect the product
• Provide daily customer service functions and communicate with the customer
• Responsible for all customer service-related functions including order entry, reporting, maintaining metrics, and cost savings tracking

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience and/or applicable work experience
• 1+ year of glass wash experience preferred and/or applicable work experience
• Knowledge of scientific products and services is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using computers
• Experience with Microsoft Teams preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Previous experience in a GMP-regulated facility strongly desired
• Strong communication skills

Pay

Hourly pay range: $17.00 - $18.97

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
