Glass Technician (Ann Arbor)
Job Summary
Auto Glass Technicians for Glass America replace broken or pitted windshields and window glass in motor vehicles. We are seeking candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent, and 4-6 years of related work experience. This position offers full-time benefits including 80 hours of paid time off annually, 6 paid holidays, medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, and additional voluntary life insurance.
Responsibilities
- Installs auto glass and other auto glass products in-shop or on a mobile basis.
- Utilizes the proper tools and techniques to ensure efficient, timely, and quality installation service for Glass America customers.
- Completes and turns in required paperwork to the appropriate person or location.
- Maintains a safe and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
- Maintains a safe and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
- Loads glass in the truck as needed.
- Immediately follows up with the Glass Manager on any problems that arise in the installation of the glass.
- Maintains high levels of quality control.
- Provides excellence in customer service.
- Maintains a safe and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
- Sets up and operates all needed equipment.
- Immediately reports any accident/incident to the Glass Manager.
- Complies with all Company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Maintains a good rapport with all supervisors and co-workers.
Qualifications
- A valid driver's license.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Able to stand for long periods of time in the installation of glass.
- Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Able to use hands efficiently in handling glass.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Mechanical aptitude and the skill to operate hand and power tools and equipment.

Compensation Details
The hourly range for this position is $25-$30 or a commission plan, whichever is higher.
