About the role
Provide support and assistance to production workers, including ensuring all glass is picked up throughout the facility. Monitor glass lines from the depalletizer room exit to filler areas, concentrating on high-risk areas after jar rinsers. Must be present during all glass breaks, assisting with cleanup and reporting the findings to the Quality department.
Responsibilities
- Maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards in work area
- Assist with all glass breaks
- Monitor glass lines for broken glass continuously
- Monitor all areas throughout the plant for glass breakage
- Maintain accurate records and complete paperwork as needed
- Report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate actions
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety training, and leather skid-resistant work shoes/boots)
- Chemical training
- LO/TO (Lockout/Tagout) certified; may require use of a forklift
- Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning
- Ability to use various tools (band cutters, dump tanks, tote hoists, knife, and scales)
