GL Corporate Accountant

Job Summary

In this role you will support the day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close process across a fast-growing, multi-entity organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both transactional accounting and analytical work, with exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly financial close process by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, including cash, prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, leases, revenue, and operating expenses, etc.
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner
• Aid in maintaining accurate financial records in compliance with US GAAP and company policies
• Prepare and maintain audit-ready documentation and account support
• Aid in recurring accounting processes and high-volume transactional activity
• Support audit requests and preparation of audit-ready workpapers for external auditors
• Aid in annual audits, compliance filings, and ad hoc projects
• Perform flux and variance analysis to identify trends and unusual activity
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A and operational teams to support reporting accuracy and financial visibility
• Identify opportunities to improve close processes, reconciliations, and workflow efficiency
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather accounting information and streamline processes
• Support ongoing enhancements to accounting systems, reporting tools, and internal controls
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
• 2-4 years of relevant accounting or audit experience (Big 4 preferred)
• Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environments preferred
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and general ledger accounting
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with NetSuite, Tipalti, or FloQast preferred
• Interest in music, entertainment, or digital media industries is a plus

Pay Scale

$75,000 - 85,000 per year, Hybrid in Office Monday/Wednesday
