GIS Tech I

About the role

Primary Talent Partners has a 12‑month contract opening for a GIS Technician I with a national utilities company. The position is a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC, with potential for extension and conversion. It is a W‑2 only assignment; C2C arrangements and visa sponsorship are not supported.

Responsibilities

• Manipulate GIS data from various sources in GIS.
• Perform QA/QC for a data improvement project in Smallworld.
• Prepare project data and information for GIS contributors.

Qualifications

• GIS or related technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of GIS experience preferred.
• Strong background and demonstrated experience in GIS preferred.
• Experience in Smallworld and/or ESRI preferred.
• Utility experience preferred.
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint preferred.
• Experience working with GPS data preferred.

Pay

$21.50/hr – $23.50/hr

Schedule

Hybrid: onsite 3 days per week in Charlotte, NC.
