About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented GIS Technician to support routine geographic information system (GIS) operations, including data management, mapping, and database maintenance. This role will collaborate closely with GIS Analysts on larger, more complex initiatives while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in day-to-day GIS activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine GIS tasks, including data management, maintenance, and map creation
- Create maps and visual representations using ESRI GIS tools
- Maintain and update GIS databases to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with GIS Analysts on complex projects and deliverables
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data inconsistencies
- Afford assistance in improving GIS processes and provide input on tool enhancements
- Support data integrity and quality across multiple GIS systems
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a related GIS role
- Diploma or certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or a related field
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience with ESRI GIS software, tools, and databases
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
