Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time GIS Specialist/Environmental Planner focused primarily on utility siting to support our Cincinnati, Ohio office. The position involves remote work part of the time and the potential to work with other V3 locations as needed. The ideal candidate lives within a couple hours of Ohio/Indiana to participate in in-person meetings, public outreach events, and site visits.
About the Role
You will play a crucial role in shaping communities by assisting in the creation of resilient environments through sustainable solutions. You will collaborate with 450+ designers, engineers, and scientists to make meaningful, effective change across North America.
Responsibilities
- Completing route and site selection studies, feasibility studies, and location analyses.
- Preparation of public outreach maps and materials.
- Preparing maps for reports and field work.
- Aiding with permitting agency submittals.
- Performing and assisting with other tasks as directed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Geography, Planning, Ecology, Biology, or a related field.
- 2 - 15 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in site/route selection and Ohio Power Siting Board submittals preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), specifically ArcGIS Pro.
