Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the ArcGIS Enterprise platform, including Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Data Store, and ArcGIS Pro.
- Develop automation scripts using ArcGIS API for Python and Python to streamline ArcGIS Enterprise administration.
- Automate ArcGIS Enterprise patch discovery, security updates, and critical patch deployment workflows.
- Implement ArcGIS Pro silent patching and upgrade automation.
- Manage Portal user governance, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, and license management.
- Develop solutions for orphan and inactive user detection and external user compliance reporting.
- Generate user type, license utilization, and governance reports.
- Create and maintain runbooks, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
- Promote GIS content between QA and Production environments using automated workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform stability, security, and performance.
- Support AWS-hosted ArcGIS Enterprise environments and related infrastructure automation.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with ArcGIS Enterprise Administration
- Expertise with ArcGIS API for Python
- Advanced Python scripting experience
- Experience with PowerShell scripting
- Experience administering:
- Portal for ArcGIS
- ArcGIS Server
- ArcGIS Data Store
- ArcGIS Pro
- Knowledge of ArcGIS REST APIs
- Experience with enterprise patch automation and security patching
- Portal governance and user administration
- User, role, and license reporting
- Content dependency mapping and cleanup
- Experience creating operational runbooks and technical documentation
- Experience working with AWS environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Utilities industry.
- Strong understanding of enterprise GIS architecture and best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
