About the role
The GIS Analyst 1, 2, or 3 is located in the Land Administration Division within the Office of Energy, in Baton Rouge, LA. This position performs advanced-level GIS work and is primarily responsible for mapping and GIS data, and providing assistance to agency stakeholders as it relates to the GIS program.

Job Duties And Other Information
- Reviews, analyzes, and generates maps, location plats, and other GIS imagery in support of a designated office within C&E or as assigned by GIS Manager.
- Downloads GIS data from SONRIS and other databases.
- Supports a designated office within C&E with technical, regulatory, and administrative matters pertaining to GIS data capture, analysis, presentations, and work products.
- Receives/processes GIS data submitted by stakeholders.
- Creates and maintains metadata associated with various GIS datasets as needed.
- Attends workshops, seminars, and training to develop and maintain familiarity with GIS software and standards.
