Undergraduate first-year and sophomore students of all majors are invited to apply for the Girls Who Invest (GWI) 2027 Scholars Program, a tuition-free initiative designed to build technical finance and investment management skills through mentorship, career development, and potential paid buy-side internship opportunities.

Program Overview & Financial Details

  • 100% tuition-free; GWI covers the full cost of the educational curriculum.
  • No application fee.
  • Housing and meals are fully provided during any mandatory in-person training components.
  • Need-based financial assistance is available to help offset travel costs.
  • Sophomore applicants accepted into the Internship Track may be matched with leading buy-side partner firms for fully paid summer internships.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Current undergraduate first-year or sophomore students with an expected graduation date between Fall 2028 and Spring 2030.
  • All majors welcome; no prior finance or investment experience required.
  • Open to students of all gender identities who support GWI’s mission.
  • International and Indian citizens may apply, but must be enrolled in (or transferring to) an accredited 4-year U.S. or U.S.-style college or university. Students studying locally outside the U.S. (e.g., in India) are ineligible unless transferring to a U.S.-style program.
  • While the educational portion has no work authorization restrictions, GWI-facilitated paid internships typically require unrestricted U.S. work authorization and do not provide future visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B or CPT/OPT).

Key Deadlines

  • Priority Deadline: September 15, 2026 (decisions released by October 15).
  • Final Deadline: October 15, 2026 (11:59 PM local time; decisions released by early December).
