About the role

The position involves assisting in the coaching of girls' varsity swim team at North High School. The role includes training, supervising, and managing the team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the training and development of swimmers
  • Manage team logistics and schedules
  • Work closely with the head coach to implement coaching strategies
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines

Requirements

  • NYS Teaching Certification or Coaching Certification or Temporary Coaching License (for non-teachers)
  • Current First Aid, CPR & AED
  • Fingerprinting clearance
  • SAVE, DASA, Child Abuse Workshop, GCN Training
  • Additional requirements apply as per NYS regulations & district expectations

Qualifications

Application Procedure

All internal and external applicants must complete the coaching application on Williamsville.schoolspring.com. Sections 3001 and 3009 of New York State Education Law and Part 80 of Regulations of the Commissioner of Education require certification for compensation as an athletic coach by a public school district. If applicants are not certified at the start of the season, they will be considered volunteers until valid certification from NYSED is issued.
