Girls Varsity Lacrosse Assistant Coach - Albemarle HS

About the role

Part-time, temporary assistant coaching position for the girls varsity lacrosse team at Albemarle High School. The role involves after-school and weekend hours, including daily contact with student-athletes for instruction and regular travel to and from matches.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of VHSL rules and regulations
• Ability to develop and train student-athletes
• Personal skills reflecting positive relations with high school student-athletes, parents, and the community
• Extensive knowledge of individual and team fundamentals of lacrosse
• Ability to organize and prepare practice schedules
• Ability to develop solid discipline emphasizing teamwork and good sportsmanship
• Previous coaching experience required
• Lacrosse coaching or playing experience helpful
• Preference given to candidates who hold or are eligible for a Virginia teaching license

Physical Conditions and Nature of Work Contacts

• Duties performed in school settings including gym and recreational areas
• Frequent walking, standing, light lifting, and other physical activities required
• Daily personal and close contact with student-athletes to provide instruction
• Regular travel with student-athletes to and from matches
• Regular contact with other coaches, administrators, parents, and the media

Schedule

After-school and weekend hours; part-time, temporary position.

Pay

Coaching stipend.
