Gift Shop Specialist
About the role
The Gift Shop Specialist will provide support and assistance with the operation of the Imagine Experience. The incumbent will be assisting the operation of the Imagine store, tours, and home office field events. Ensuring that administrative requirements for the department are efficiently met. Providing project coordination support for projects being handled by the department.
Responsibilities
- Supports the operation of the Imagine store, tours, and home office field events.
- Aids in the set-up, bookings, and operation of tours, including script updates, monitoring tour displays, and keeping tour guide equipment updated.
- Assists with the set-up and operation of the store by operating cash registers, requesting bank cash runs, and preparing month-end deposits.
- Maintains inventory, orders merchandise, and arranges displays.
- Communicates, sets up, books, and operates Home Office Field Events.
- Provides accounting and budgeting support to the department when necessary.
- Assists with communication, processing, and delivering travel reimbursements for field agents.
- Works weekends and evenings as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Flexibility to handle multiple and changing priorities.
- Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
- Lift up to 15-50 lbs.
- Ability to stand long periods of time.
- Ability to manage long walks (stairs included).
- Basic accounting skills.
- Previous work experience in a retail atmosphere is a plus.
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Self-starter with the ability to handle unexpected and high-pressure situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Work experience.
- Ability to speak in front of large groups.
Pay
Salary range between $44K - $46K Annual
Schedule
Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
