Gift Shop Sales Associate

About the role

Gift Shop Sales Associates assist customers with the selection of gifts and accessories. You’ll design store displays, help select products for the store, and support both in-person and online sales. The Century House offers a unique selection of Scandinavian and Modern gifts and accessories, sold at our Madison, WI location and through our website.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting gifts and accessories
• Design and maintain store displays
• Participate in product selection for the store
• Process orders received through e-commerce websites
• Operate POS systems and handle shipping tasks
• Contribute to website content using WordPress or photography

Requirements

• Positive attitude with a desire to assist customers
• Interest in accessories and design
• Desire to work as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Good computer skills

Interest or experience in Modern/Scandinavian accessories, e-commerce order processing, POS systems, shipping & handling, WordPress, or photography is a plus. Retail or sales experience may be helpful but is not required.
