About the role
The successful instructor will be responsible for planning and delivering one weekly yoga session during term time at the Rob Lowe Sports Centre, St George’s Hospital (SW17 0RE).
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, inclusive yoga sessions suitable for a mixed-ability student audience, including complete beginners through to those with more experience.
- Create a safe, welcoming environment for participants.
- Uphold the Students’ Union’s values and promote participant welfare and inclusion.
- Ensure all activity is delivered in accordance with relevant health and safety requirements, safeguarding policies, and applicable governing body standards.
Requirements
- Qualified Yoga Instructor.
- Supportive, approachable teaching style.
- Flexible availability to meet the needs of the program.
Qualifications
- First degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in leading group fitness classes.
- Knowledge of yoga principles and practices.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different abilities.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
