About the role
CUCS works in all five boroughs of New York City to support individuals and families through outreach programs, shelters and transitional programs, drop-in centers, and permanent supportive housing. Our dedicated teams assist homeless, formerly homeless, and low-income individuals and families to connect with benefits support, receive primary medical and mental healthcare from our award-winning healthcare affiliate Janian Medical Care and improves the services New Yorkers receive by providing professional training to partner nonprofits through the innovative Training Institute. Help bring holiday cheer to residents at CUCS’s Kingsbridge Heights supportive housing program in the Bronx! Join us on December 18 from 3 30–5 30 p.m. for an afternoon of festive crafts, treats, and hot cocoa. Volunteers will work alongside staff to help children and families make ornaments and snowman crafts, welcome residents at the sign-in and holiday treat table, or assist at the hot cocoa station with toppings like candy canes and festive whipped cream treats.
Requirements
- No advance preparation needed.
- Wear comfortable clothes that can handle a little paint or glitter.
- Plan to help with cleanup.
