German Translator
About the role
Apply your extensive language skills to clearly and accurately translate a wide range of documentation, training materials, and software for Epic, a world leader in electronic medical records technology. Your input will help shape localization efforts, quality assurance, and terminology maintenance. Translators are given a high degree of autonomy and independence, and are responsible for managing and executing important translation projects. You’ll be actively involved in our clinical, administrative, and financial products and work closely with our implementation, technical support, and sales teams.
Responsibilities
- Translate a wide range of documentation, training materials, and software from American English into German
- Ensure translations maintain appropriate feeling, tone, and style
- Work closely with implementation, technical support, and sales teams
- Manage and execute important translation projects with a high degree of autonomy
- Contribute to localization efforts, quality assurance, and terminology maintenance
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
- Strong preference for experience translating from American English into German
- Ability to ensure translations maintain appropriate feeling, tone, and style
- No prior experience with Epic software is required, as training will be provided
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in translation or related field
- Passionate about healthcare and technology

Location
The position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance.
