German Translator
About the role
Apply your extensive language skills to clearly and accurately translate a wide range of documentation, training materials, and software for Epic, a world leader in electronic medical records technology. Your input will help shape localization efforts, quality assurance, and terminology maintenance. Translators are given a high degree of autonomy and independence, and are responsible for managing and executing important translation projects. You’ll be actively involved in our clinical, administrative, and financial products and work closely with our implementation, technical support, and sales teams.
Responsibilities
- Translate a wide range of documentation, training materials, and software from American English to German
- Ensure translations maintain appropriate feeling, tone, and style
- Collaborate with the implementation, technical support, and sales teams to produce innovative software for German-speaking healthcare organizations
- Manage and execute important translation projects with a high degree of autonomy and independence
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
- Strong preference for experience translating from American English into German
- Ability to ensure translations maintain appropriate feeling, tone, and style
- No prior experience with Epic software is required; training will be provided
Qualifications
- Highly proficient in both German and English
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and accuracy in translation
- Experience with Epic software is not required, but will be trained on
