German Translator

About the role

As a translator at Epic, you’ll apply your extensive language skills to clearly and accurately translate a wide range of documentation, training materials, and software for a world leader in electronic medical records technology. Your input will help shape our localization efforts, quality assurance, and terminology maintenance. Translators are given a high degree of autonomy and independence, and are responsible for managing and executing important translation projects. You’ll be actively involved in our clinical, administrative and financial products and work closely with our implementation, technical support and sales teams to produce innovative software for German-speaking healthcare organizations.

Responsibilities

• Translate a wide range of documentation, training materials, and software from American English into German
• Ensure translations maintain appropriate feeling, tone, and style
• Collaborate with implementation, technical support, and sales teams to produce innovative software
• Manage and execute important translation projects

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
• Strong preference for experience translating from American English into German
• Ability to ensure translations maintain appropriate feeling, tone, and style
• No prior experience with Epic software is required, as training will be provided

Qualifications

• Highly skilled in translation and localization
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
• Experience working with healthcare-related documents and software
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Skills

• Exceptional language skills in German and English
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage projects
• Knowledge of Epic software is not required, training will be provided
