About the role

You will act as the first contact for our internationally oriented middle-market client base, working closely with German clients on a variety of projects. Responsibilities include auditing or reviewing annual financial statements under US GAAP, HGB, and IFRS, managing audit teams independently, and collaborating with tax consultants. You will also advise clients on international transactions, support business development efforts, and have access to unlimited training resources to build your expertise. Assistance is provided for passing the US CPA Exam.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for internationally oriented middle-market clients
  • Audit or review annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, HGB, and IFRS
  • Independently and self-directedly manage audit teams
  • Collaborate with tax consultants on interdisciplinary projects
  • Advise clients on the design and implementation of international transactions
  • Engage in business development efforts and cross-boundary thinking
  • Support and mentor team members in their professional growth
  • Assist with passing the US CPA Exam

Requirements

  • Successfully completed degree in business management, economics, or a similar field
  • German Certified Public Accountant (Wirtschaftsprüfer) certification preferred
  • At least 4-5 years of professional experience in assurance services
  • Exceptional English speaking and writing skills
  • Team player with strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Sound knowledge of German HGB and international accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP)
  • Client-oriented thinking and excellent communication skills
  • Confidence, factual reasoning, and ability to work well with others
  • Experience with IT-supported audit execution is desirable

Pay

Base pay range for roles in Boston, Chicago, Manhattan, Denver, and metropolitan areas: $90,000–$150,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
