This role includes an Affiliate Faculty Appointment with UNR Med, offering opportunities to teach and mentor learners across multiple training programs.

Responsibilities

• Dedicated Geriatric Hospitalist role focused on the care of older adult inpatients
• Manage admissions, rounding, complex care coordination, and discharge planning with strong specialty support
• Collaborative environment with experienced APPs, case management, and multidisciplinary teams
• Affiliate Faculty Appointment with UNR Med
• Teaching opportunities with medical students, residents, and PA students
• Integrated community-based academic training model with ACGME-accredited IM, FM, and Pediatric residencies
• Opportunities to participate in quality improvement, age-friendly initiatives, and clinical research

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Experience in geriatric care preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
