Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of geotechnical technicians and support staff
- Manage day-to-day operations of the geotechnical team
- Coordinate project assignments, staffing, and workload distribution
- Ensure projects are staffed appropriately and delivered on schedule
- Review and oversee geotechnical reports, analyses, and recommendations
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members
- Communicate with project managers, clients, and contractors
- Support subsurface investigation planning and execution
- Oversee data interpretation and development of engineering recommendations
- Participate in project meetings and client interactions
- Support proposal preparation and business development activities
- Maintain organization and efficiency within team operations
- Perform geotechnical analysis and field oversight as needed
- Perform additional technical and leadership duties as assigned
Requirements
- 3 years of related experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's and/or Master's of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Geology, or related field is preferred
- A Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) is preferred
- If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required
- Strong professional communication skills (verbal and written)
- Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Strong understanding of geotechnical principles and standards
- Ability to evaluate engineering data and design recommendations
- Strong organizational and operational management skills
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with electronic devices and MS Office
- Knowledge of company systems, procedures, and workflows
- Ability to coordinate field activities and staffing effectively
- Must be able to occasionally lift a minimum of 85 pounds
- Knowledge of ECS systems and procedures is a plus
