Geotechnical Staff Engineer

Who we are looking for

F&R is looking for a Geotechnical Staff Engineer!

What you’ll be doing

• Work with other members of the geotechnical services department including geologists, technicians, drill crews and sub-consultants to deliver exceptional results.
• Prepare geotechnical project work scopes, budgets, and proposals.
• Plan and coordinate field exploration programs including site reconnaissance.
• Perform soil and rock classification.
• Plan and coordinate geotechnical laboratory testing programs.
• Perform geotechnical engineering analysis, calculations, and computer modeling.
• Develop geotechnical engineering design parameters and recommendations.
• Prepare geotechnical engineering reports and deliverables.
• Manage geotechnical engineering projects, including project schedules, budgets, and invoicing.
• Communicate with existing and potential clients.
• Conducts field logging and supports drilling program for a variety of projects.

What you need to have

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical, or related field
• EIT license preferred
• Typically 0-4 years of experience preferred
• Proficient with writing and reviewing technical reports
• Valid Driver's license with insurable driving record
• Able to travel locally to/from project sites
• Able to work extended hours when workload dictates
• Able to effectively communicate with internal and external clients through in-person, written, verbal, and electronic methods
• Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record
