About the role
Kleinfelder's Geotechnical team is seeking a motivated and experienced Geotechnical Project Manager to support our growing practice in Oklahoma (Tulsa or Oklahoma City).
Responsibilities
- Manage geotechnical engineering projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Conduct and oversee geotechnical analyses, design activities, and engineering evaluations.
- Plan and manage subsurface exploration programs and assign laboratory testing.
- Prepare geotechnical reports, drawings, and specifications for a wide range of project types.
- Guide and mentor staff in material characterization, slope stability, settlement, seepage, and related analyses.
- Oversee field observations, testing, and site visits.
- Support and foster strong client relationships, provide project updates, and assist with strategic pursuits.
- Lead and contribute to proposal development and business growth.
- Collaborate with civil design teams to develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and priorities effectively.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
- Proven experience in geotechnical design, including shallow, mat, and deep foundations; retaining structures; slope stability; and major earthwork projects.
- Pavement design experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading diverse project teams and supporting business development efforts.
- Advanced degree in geotechnical engineering preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain an Oklahoma PE within 6 months.
