About the role
The Geotechnical Numerical Modeler is responsible for developing and maintaining numerical models to support geotechnical engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain numerical models using specialized software tools.
- Analyze data from field tests and laboratory experiments to refine model accuracy.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure models meet project requirements and specifications.
- Document model development processes and results for future reference and training purposes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or numerical modeling.
- Proficiency in at least one geotechnical software package (e.g., FLAC, SAGA).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of geotechnical principles and practices.
- Experience with data analysis and interpretation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Skills
- Proficiency in computer programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QGIS).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
