Geotechnical Internship (Level 1)

Responsibilities Assists with geotechnical fieldwork and subsurface exploration activitiesSupports scheduling and coordination of drilling operationsAssists with obtaining utility clearances and evaluating site accessSupports preparation of drilling instructions and field plansPerforms boring and test pit layout using conventional surveying and GPS equipmentAssists in observation and classification of soil samples and test pitsSupports preparation of boring logs and location diagramsPerforms hand auger borings to obtain soil samples and subsurface informationAssists with site seismic testing and other field investigationsObserves foundation construction and ground improvement activitiesAssists with laboratory testing activities as neededDocuments field observations and supports data collection effortsPerforms other field or project support tasks as assigned Want to experience what this job entails?
