About the role
We are seeking a Staff Geotechnical Engineer in Texas to conduct field investigations, lab testing, and engineering analyses for various projects. This role offers hands-on experience in technical reporting, field inspections, and client collaboration, ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals in geotechnical or civil engineering.
Responsibilities
- Perform geotechnical investigations and analyses to assess subsurface and site conditions.
- Plan and conduct geotechnical exploration programs effectively.
- Perform field and laboratory investigations for geotechnical engineering and geological study projects.
- Analyze geotechnical findings, perform appropriate calculations, and prepare technical reports for review by senior geotechnical engineers.
- Provide direction to technical team during field inspection activities.
- Interact with customers and team members to complete the assigned projects on time.
- Evaluate team performance and determine training needs to meet performance objectives.
- Perform basic office administration tasks when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Geotechnical, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 2-6 years of related work experience within the State of Texas.
- Proficiency in soil mechanics.
- Ability to creatively apply engineering principles to solve problems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in teams.

$85,000 - $120,000 salary depending on experience
