Geotechnical Engineer

Job Duties

  • Perform geotechnical field investigations, including boring layouts, drilling inspections, and geophysical surveys.
  • Cook up and manage the scope of services provided by subcontract drilling firms.
  • Classify and test soil samples visually and in the lab.
  • Inspect geotechnical sites during construction phases as needed.
  • Prepare and review geotechnical engineering reports.
  • Write and present geotechnical proposals at client meetings.
  • Participate in meetings with design teams, stakeholders, and clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • 6 to 10+ years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Salary Range

Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000
