About the Role

Certerra Sub-Surface-Enviro-Drill has an excellent full-time opportunity for an entry-level Site Coordinator or Assistant Driller in Albuquerque and Los Cruces, NM. You will help prepare work sites and obtain laboratory samples to determine geological characteristics, ore nature, foundation material strength, and/or environmental sampling. Additional duties include maintaining facilities, work sites, and equipment while ensuring safe working environments. Travel is required throughout Arizona and New Mexico.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare work sites for geological drilling operations.
  • Obtain laboratory samples to assess geological characteristics, ore nature, foundation material strength, and environmental conditions.
  • Maintain facilities, work sites, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and a safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as required to support drilling operations.

Requirements

  • Reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn the geological drilling process.
  • Able to work under challenging conditions.
  • Strong adherence to safety procedures.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Arizona and New Mexico.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Respectful, team-oriented attitude.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Maintain a clean motor vehicle record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CDL driver’s license.
  • Welding background.
  • Field experience in a desert climate.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts in outside weather conditions and may be exposed to wet/humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles.
