Responsibilities
- Clearly document site observations for construction materials testing and geotechnical field work
- Assist with or perform the following tasks with limited supervision:
- Perform boring and test pit layouts
- Prepare drilling packages and obtain utility clearances
- Research local geologic history
- Auxiliary supervision of field work performed by drilling/test pit crews
- Resolve rig access issues
- Perform in-situ testing
- Classify soils
- Inform project staff of changing site conditions and additional testing requests
- Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar
- No prior experience required
- Professional license is not required at this time but necessary for career progression
- If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver’s license is required
- Military qualifications: E-5 ranks from ECS Group of Companies qualify for this position if they meet the education and licenses requirements from the above section titled "Required Qualifications"
