About the role
This role supports geospatial, imagery, AI/ML, and data-driven application development, deployment, and operations as a Geospatial Platform Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate backend services, APIs, data connectors, and platform components for mission-focused workflows.
- Build data ingestion, transformation, indexing, alerting, and analytic service components.
- Design, deploy, and maintain containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and similar tools.
- Create and improve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevSecOps workflows.
- Support geospatial visualization, 3D terrain, imagery access, and map-based workflows.
- Operationalize AI/ML models, including deployment, inference, monitoring, and support.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across software, containers, APIs, networking, and AI/ML environments.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required, with 8+ years of experience or an advanced degree with fewer years.
An active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and U.S. citizenship are required.
Skills
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, SQL, Bash.
- Experience supporting geospatial, imagery, AI/ML, and analytic applications in secure, hybrid environments.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud/on-premise infrastructure.
- Ability to work independently, research solutions, document decisions, and collaborate across teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with geospatial analytics, imagery systems, mapping platforms, computer vision, and ML pipelines.
- Knowledge of tools like Cesium, OMAR, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Elasticsearch, NVIDIA Triton.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), DevSecOps practices, and security benchmarks.
