About the role
Digitize historical survey plats and georeference them into a modern coordinate system for a state archive land-records modernization project.
Responsibilities
- Scan fragile historical survey documents
- Perform rubber-sheeting to control points
- Transcribe metes-and-bounds calls
- Reconcile overlaps with current parcel boundaries
Requirements
- Patience and meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with archival care and handling of fragile documents
- Strong understanding of coordinate-system fundamentals
