Geospatial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve machine learning models for estimating crop biophysical properties using satellite remote sensing datasets.
• Implement spatial and remote sensing data processing algorithms to produce datasets to integrate and/or assimilate into crop models.
• Affix assistance with literature review, reports, and publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Environmental Science/Engineering, or related field with 4 years of related experience.
• Master's degree in Data Science, Environmental Science/Engineering, or related field with 2 years of related experience.
• Experience working on spatial data processing using ArcGIS, R, and/or Python.
• Experience in building, training, and deploying machine learning models.
• Experience working with satellite remote sensing data and data mining techniques.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the Unix/Linux environment.
• Expertise in data assimilation techniques.
