Responsibilities
- Develop and improve machine learning models for estimating crop biophysical properties using satellite remote sensing datasets.
- Implement spatial and remote sensing data processing algorithms to produce datasets to integrate and/or assimilate into crop models.
- Affix assistance with literature review, reports, and publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Environmental Science/Engineering, or related field with 4 years of related experience.
- Master's degree in Data Science, Environmental Science/Engineering, or related field with 2 years of related experience.
- Experience working on spatial data processing using ArcGIS, R, and/or Python.
- Experience in building, training, and deploying machine learning models.
- Experience working with satellite remote sensing data and data mining techniques.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the Unix/Linux environment.
- Expertise in data assimilation techniques.
