Geoscience Intern (Summer 2027)

About the Role

Continental Resources’ Summer Internship Program provides meaningful, career-specific experiences with hands-on insight into the oil and gas industry. Interns have the opportunity to be mentored by experienced professionals, network with fellow Continental interns and industry peers, gain exposure to various departments, and present summer projects to management.

Responsibilities

Under supervision from mentors and geologic staff, Geoscience Interns will generate geologic interpretations of current CLR development assets and/or exploration prospects. Duties include:

• Generating sequence stratigraphic models, subsurface and petrophysical maps, and production analysis
• Performing geosteering interpretations and mud log analysis
• Receiving training on the practical application of geological concepts to develop solutions for project assignments
• Completing project assignments associated with the development and/or operation of CLR’s energy assets
• Making recommendations to Asset Team and Management for expenditures and activities related to project work
• Observing and assisting with the execution of recommended activities (time permitting) and reporting results
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an accredited four-year college or university
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology or a related Earth Sciences major
• Eligible to work permanently in the United States upon graduation
• Acceptable pre-employment background and drug test

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 3.0 GPA

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions

• Prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
