Weston & Sampson is seeking a geologist/hydrogeologist with 4 - 8+ years of experience to join the Water Discipline in our Rocky Hill, CT office. What You’ll Do Hydrogeologic/geologic investigationsPumping test supervisionWater-quality samplingStreamflow gagingGIS map/graphics generationMonitoring and production well drilling oversightSoil sampling and logging during well installationData compilation and interpretationPermit and report writing What You Will Bring Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology or water resources related field (M.S. preferred) 4 to 8+ years of experienceA positive attitude and ability to work in a team settingEnthusiasm for completing field work at a variety of site settingsProficiency in preparing GIS figures, GIS data evaluation, data entry and management using Microsoft SuiteExperience with Grapher, Surfer and Aqtesolv programs a plusStrong GIS skills are a mustExcellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with CTDPH, CTDEEP and NYSDEC water withdrawal permitting Some travel will be required to conduct field workValid driver’s license is requiredAbility to independently complete field tasks with limited instruction Enthusiasm for mentoring and training younger staff members and maintaining equipment Salary Range $80,000 - $92,000 Based on Education and Experience Overview At Weston & Sampson, you’ll work alongside more than 1,000 employee-owners who are passionate about improving our communities.
