Geologist II

About the role

We are seeking a proven oil finder to work seamlessly with our International new ventures team. This position is responsible for the generation of large-scale unconventional oil and gas prospects and the execution of highly active drilling programs. Qualified candidates must excel in all applicable geoscience technologies and handle a high volume of data. The role requires collaboration in a team environment with reservoir, land, and operations engineering personnel to take prospects from concept through completion in a fast-paced drilling program.

Responsibilities

• Generate large-scale unconventional oil and gas prospects
• Execute highly active drilling programs
• Incorporate geology and engineering data to determine horizontal development locations and reservoir evaluation
• Work in a team environment with reservoir, land, and operations engineering personnel
• Take prospects from concept through completion in a fast-paced drilling program

Requirements

• MS degree in Geology
• Minimum of 5 years of oil and gas prospecting experience in a variety of structural and stratigraphic styles
• Unconventional resources experience
• Familiarity with computer-based geological applications
• Proven ability to incorporate geology and engineering data for reservoir evaluation
