Geologist 2
About the role
We're looking for a Geologist II to join our dynamic team. This role involves assisting with geologic and hydrologic studies, contaminated site remediation tasks, and developing design options or recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with geologic and hydrologic studies, including field work, and other hydrologic, geologic, and geophysical tasks both locally and nationally
- Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of service deliverable documents
- Work independently on medium-size projects or assist more-senior scientists on larger projects
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience
- Prior experience with field work
- Experience with well installation techniques, and groundwater and soil sampling procedures and analysis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Leadership skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions (rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures)
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Geology, Earth Science, Hydrogeology, or a closely related field
