Genetic Counselor - Remote

Job Responsibilities

• Provide virtual comprehensive prenatal genetic counseling services for MFM practices in Northern California, serving a diverse patient population.
• Support results reporting program for multiple clients by providing results to patients using an innovative approach of genetic results reporting.
• Have the opportunity to provide direct patient care for a wide variety of complex indications from an extensive referral base.
• Engage in professional growth opportunities including writing abstracts and publications, physician education and other projects.
• Access to the expertise of a nation-wide organization of medical geneticists, biochemical and molecular geneticists, and over 100 counseling colleagues.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling.
• American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification or Active Candidate Status for ABGC.
• CALIFORNIA Genetic Counselor license or ability to obtain prior to start date.

• Highly organized, including excellent time management skills.
• Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Minimum Qualifications

• Masters degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling.
• American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification or Active Candidate Status for ABGC.
• CALIFORNIA Genetic Counselor license or ability to obtain prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more experience of prenatal or reproductive Genetic Counseling post completion of Masters Degree.

Pay Range

$88,000 - $120,000 / year
