Genetic Counselor - Pediatric Genetics - FT - Days - MPG - Hollywood
Responsibilities
- Develops genetic counseling plans, including risk assessment, referrals, education, life planning options, and treatment options.
- Provides counseling and education to patients and their families.
- Identifies and provides referrals for testing, treatment, support, and advocacy.
- Researches, maintains, and applies knowledge of trends and developments in genetic disease research, testing, and treatment.
- Collates, reviews, and interprets family/medical histories, medical records, test results, and other relevant/necessary information.
- Captures and communicates results of testing to referring healthcare providers.

Education And Certification Requirements
- Masters: Genetic Counseling (Required)
- Certified Genetics Counselor (CGC) certification from the American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG) or the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) within 12 months of employment.

- Required Work Experience: One (1) year of experience in pediatric or general genetic counseling, rotations and/or internships will be considered.
